I am sorry fellow MGTOWers, but I am not going to quit having sex.
Why would you be sorry to us for not having sex?
[–]Morranaii[S] -1 points0 points1 point 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
it was a metaphor in order to say that I am not going to quit having some kind of relations with women, even if that's only limited to using them for sex from time to time ;) don't worry I didn't went mad. :)
[–]thrownaway_MGTOW2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Oh, eventually you will (despite what Hollywood films show, corpses do not actively seek out or engage in sex {actually they don't actively do anything, decomposing is more of a passive thing}, and unless they become corpsified at a relatively young age, most people tend to reduce frequency if not stop altogether long before they reach that stage).
But really no one here is telling you to "quit having sex" -- rather it is about being aware of the (many) RISKS that are around having sex -- there are several aspects that are essentially akin to playing "Russian Roulette".
Now if you want to go out and on a weekly (or even daily) basis and spin the cylinder on that revolver, pull the trigger (having of course made certain you covered the muzzle with a condom) and take your chances...
Well, go for it!
But please -- if it turns out that there is a proverbial bullet in the chambers -- well, don't come back and bitch about how "unfair" it all is ... mmmmK?
Being pregger-trapped and/or child-support-raped, subsequently divorce-raped, or even just accused of 'rape' -- well all of those things are somewhat forgivable and pitiable when the 'victim' was an unwitting young ignorant kid -- but when it's someone who should damned well know better, and at least KNOW the risks of the fire he is playing with... then seriously, IMO they don't deserve any pity.

exactly. that's why I will get vasectomy ASAP and not going too crazy about having or (not having sex) - when there's an opportunity I use it, but without being too mad about it.

Don't be sorry. I'm the only one here who's saying that everyone should stop having sex. No one listens to me; so that's really a moot point. But like /u/thrownaway_MGTOW says: Do not expect sympathy if you get burned; because you know what you're getting into.
And why does the drive mean so much to you?
[–]Morranaii[S] 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (11 children) | Copy Link
It doesn't mean 'much' to me, I am just against going against my natural drive - it will subside by itself when I will get seriously older anyway - I don't see a point in trying to shut it down before nature has planned to do so.
[–]SoullessTechnocrat 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
Why, though? Nature is just as bad as everything else; more so because it enables biological processes. The idea that anything natural is good is just as much wrong as the fact that 'progress' is good.
It's all terrible; nature be damned, it's terrible.

See and that is exactly the point of view I'd rather want to avoid because it makes you deny everything, go into super-pessimistic ball and sit in the corner damning the universe. ;D
[–]SoullessTechnocrat 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Avoid it then. I cannot; I've seen too much that follows this pattern to believe otherwise. You sound like you have a great handle on things.
it's not that hard to do, really. just take care about contraception consider vasectomy and you're more or less secured from the biggest traps. STDs are an issue too but as I've stated- don't sleep with douchebags and you'd be ok.

I don't see a point in trying to shut it down before nature has planned to do so.
It's not a matter of "shutting it down", but rather a matter of who is in charge... you... or "it"?
[–]Morranaii[S] 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link
well from some posts of others you can get the feeling that they rather are very horny, and they need to "shut it down" or "manage it" by things like pornography and masturbation.
You see it all can be seen from different points of view. You can tell that sexual drive and the person feeling it are one. Because this is true - I am not separate from my emotions, feelings and drives. Also, I can rationalize and use logic to put myself aside from these.
If they cause problems this might be valuable - but if they do not, then it makes no sense. With proper precautions - like vasectomy, having your own rules matter more than those coming from women and choosing sexual partners that are more adequate to you (rather than just because you want sex) - sex can be good and it often is.
It's not some alien monster, no need in calling it "it" ;) Without it (haha) we would not be here writing these posts. Sex is affirmation of life.

The main part of the problem is that they are "obsessed" with it to begin with...
Seriously the best way to deal with it is to "channel" your energy into other productive endeavors. If and when you are actually really occupied with other things, especially expending mental effort in attempting to resolve complicated problems, and/or working on complex things... then several weeks can go by without even realizing that the time has passed, until suddenly: "Hey, waitaminute... I haven't beat off in... well, I guess it's X weeks; whodathunkit?"
Ergo the chief problem with a lot of these young guys is that they have WAAAAY too much time on their hands, and with basically nothing to keep them truly occupied (i.e. being both mentally and physically challenged -- playing video games and/or "surfing" the internet, and even "lifting" and "exercising" simply isn't the same thing, it really DOESN'T occupy the total person).
And -- as I have discussed in the past in other comments & threads -- for much the same reason, they also don't actually "feel" like they are "men" (adult men); they've never DONE anything, and they aren't really DOING anything... they're not "building" anything (and so sans any sense of any REAL accomplishment, anything of substance that their mind can look back on and say "*I* built that!", well is it any surprise that they feel like non-entities?)
I agree 100%. I was just thoughtlessly quoting OP's word choice, and responding in the same terms.

exactly this. and it's easy to start a fire when you are constantly playing with matches. after all, pornography can act as a drug.
if your life is occupied and you keep yourself busy plus have healthy boundaries with women then having sex from time to time doesn't hurt, it adds up to your life and isn't becoming an obsession. This way, it's a win-win.
[–]thrownaway_MGTOW0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
It's really the obsession & orgasm that are the drug. The porn is just a "tool", a mechanism for it. Besides porn need not be the modern explicit videos, the human brain can turn just about anything (including mundane inanimate objects) into "porn".
True though any intimate activity will carry a certain amount of risk nonetheless -- or I should say "risks" because there are of course several.
