So true my friend, I sit here in anger and it's because I believed the lies. When you know the truth about something, you can make an informed decision about it and opt out. So many times being led down the wrong path, especially when it comes to women and their needs. It's all lies.
This made me think of something I was bouncing around in my head, I hope it's ok to post it here.
When a mother has a daughter, her life's narrative becomes her daughters; she can teach her daughter all the things that she did to survive.
When a mother has a son she is birthing a person into the world that will have a vastly different life than her own ever could be. She has no idea what it is like to be a man, but she created one and now that man has to find his way out in the world, alone. At least with a daughter you can tell her, "Just get married, I married your father when I was....blah blah blah."
Does this make sense? I have two sisters and I just came to the realization that my mothers advice for relationships, and for life in general, is better suited to my sisters. The same logic just does not apply to being a man. My father was a good man, but hell if I can remember if he ever told me anything at all about women. He was having too much fun with his activities and being stoned all the time. I had to figure it out later that he was escaping by doing this and as a result taught me everything I need to know about being married.
Today I'm going to work out, then later go to a Seinfeld trivia game downtown, then after that I'm framing some art work I created.
Nice post OP.

Actually it's often vastly worse than that.
It's not just that she has NO IDEA what he needs to learn to be a MAN; it's that she really doesn't want him to become A "man", she wants and invariably tries to turn him into what she thinks SHE (and WOMEN) want a man to be... i.e. "her" slave/servant.
Just make sure you "hold" it. ;-)

Excellent addition by adding that. I wasn't even thinking about that, and it's true, they teach us to become beta male servants to the female hive.
Anybody here have any brothers? I used to dream of having an older brother, he would have steered me the right way, if he were to exist. Come to think of it, most of my peers who have brothers were always more Alpha just by association. Aunts, sisters, moms, and grandmothers will teach their young men so much bs. Basically it's "buy women things, and then buy them more things." Fucking hell.
I'll take your last sentence as practical advice, I'll try not to drop the artwork while I'm working on it. Or do you mean something else to do with my... member? 0_o

When I made the older brother comment I was thinking of a few close friends of mine growing up and the John Cusack character from Stand By Me. In the film it was a fantasy. Maybe I just wanted another male around to hang with. Someone to josh around with, someone to practice your punching on because as I've learned you can't hit your sisters back when they are attacking you. I was sort of taught to be a good brother to my sisters, but the same can't be said the other way around. Having a brother is a convenience for them. "Do this for me, take me here, watch this for me." That's how I view it anyway. I got nothing out of the deal except having to hang around with even more females on these family trips and being driven up the wall by them. It could have been worse though, I had a childhood. I'll just leave it at that.
Your brother in hindsight showed you what married life is like falling in love at such a young age. That almost happened to me except at one point I simply wanted to sleep with different girls and moved on from my HS sweetheart. Her very next bf she had a baby with so I dodged a certain fate right there, it was set up for the other guy and I got out.
Holding frame, ha. That is something I really need to learn if I'm going to hang out with a woman again. I really am the worst at it, it's embarrassing. But, I get the joke now, pretty good actually. And, I would never frame Art Garfunkel if that's what you're getting at lol.

Me and you would probably get along very well, I like your sense of humor. In person I'm a real cut up and was thinking of exactly that because I split up art & work and the word framing. That could make for a very funny skit. I have a friend named Art and we joke all the time like that. I used to joke that the movie "High Art" starring Ally sheedy was just a home movie of him eating chips and playing video games.
Your brother man, wow. He is so cucked! I figured out that cheating shit and whatnot early on in life with my hs sweetheart and how emasculating it is, why does he keep falling into her trap? A grand lesson is buried in there about cuckoldry. I really only learned about that word last year. In a way I've been MGTOW for as long as I can remember, but my dealings with women set me back, I'll briefly think there is something there that really probably doesn't exist- a comfortable relationship with a beautiful woman that will be faithful to you. Maybe your brother keeps chasing this, this dream. Insanity. Jeez when I had a steady girlfriend I remember telling her to stuff it one time when she tried to beta order me around in front of her friends at a restaurant. She never did it again. It's just instinctual I thought to not want someone to treat you this way. Even with the ones you've fallen in love with, at some point enough is enough.
It is necessary to shut down women, I'm all for that. Me personally I can go into real asshole mode when I get bitch treatment thrown at me, I have to watch myself. And we're back to "holding frame".
It's hard for Art to hold frame when I'm framing Art's artwork.
Nice chatting, cheers mate.
