Any of you Northern UK fags here will likely know who Libby Squire is if you've watched the news in the last few weeks.

Now I don't mean to be morbid or anything so please don't take this the wrong way. Obviously I feel for her and her family. But I can't help thinking about how big this whole operation is. It's all over the news all day and they're spending a shit load of money to find a girl who's likely already dead.

I just keep remembering the young teenage boys that went missing last year and how little media coverage or police support they got. It was literally just a few passing headlines and that's it. But now a cute, young girl goes missing, after a night of stumbling around drunk on her own(not really the best position to put yourself in) and everyone suddenly gives a fuck?

They've been turfing up the neighbourhood for 19 days now. I can't remember a single male missing persons report that got this much coverage in my entire life. Why do I only ever see this type of coverage when it's a female but nobody gives a fuck when a young vulnerable boy goes missing? I mean they're still publishing articles about Madeline Mccann today!

Ever heard of Kyron Horman, 8, Andrew Gosden, 14 or Alex Batty, 12? Me neither until I looked them up. I don't want to take attention away from Libby's case but I do want to see more attention drawn to the innocent boys/men that get overlooked in missing persons cases.

What's y'all's take on this? Am I being too cynical?
