I heard a few friends say before that they don’t really care about a girls look and it’s personality that matters (cliche I know). They also mentioned that a girl who’s better looking is harder to get and not worth the effort

As an avid observer myself, I notice how false that is. In fact, the lower SMV (Sexual Market Value) the girl is, the higher expectation she has. I have also eavesdropped a conversation of a fat/chubby girl with her friends. She was talking about how she wants a guy who’s tall, jawline, yada yada yada.

It’s most prevalent and obvious when it comes to height. The shorter the girl is, the more she always compares the heights of her male friends and makes fun of the short ones.

I’m curious whether this is just an thing of people in my country, I would like to know if you guys notice this as well.
