I know part of the problem is my gf has a 6 year old daughter and a 4 year old son. I think they are great kids and have no issue with being a step dad. I get along fine with her ex so that shouldn't be a problem.

I find it annoying that while I was dating her my mother liked her and thought she was nice but all of a sudden she's very opposed to me marrying my gf.

I will marry my gf either way but I'd love to have support of my family. How would be a good way to get her to see my side?
