Used to see this all the time when I lived in the city (I live in the country now, women seem to have more manners and courtesy). I would not even ask, I would just ease my body slowly down on her bag and look at their faces.

It's usually a look of horror as a man's arse is about to smother their bag, so they quickly snatch it and hold onto it like a delicate but sickly baby.

I take mass transit every morning and have to stand. Eventually someone gets up and a seat is free. Unspoken Sexist society rules dictate a woman gets the seat. Whatever. What annoys me is these younger women use their privledge to crowd me, as the guy out from getting a seat. As soon as they see only men standing near seats that may become free they all scoot in real close using thier body to block you and ensure they get first dibs on the seat.

Im fucking sick of it. To the point I don't care if the males and females deliver me a snide glance if I don't gibe up the available seat to a woman.

Fuck their privledge. You want to stand eqaully beside men? Practice what you preach.

When I hear all of these stories about public transport in America, I am so thankful I live in Australia where the public transport is way nicer in comparison.

Manspreading isn't actually the core issue. Women have an issue with other women bagspreading and by throwing enough dirt at men, they hope we'll fix it for everyone.
