If you're older and wiser, and you understand the laws behind marriage, you'll know that the marriage certificate is nothing but a financial contract to support a woman during the child bearing years and after the child bearing years.

It is nothing else but that.

The fine print about the high chance of losing the children and them being awarded to the mother is not presented to you up front.

Society purposely doesn't make any effort to shed light on the fine print.

A guy I work with:

Three years ago he buys the largest house he can afford, with his fiance.

Two years ago, they drop thousands on a wedding.

Last year, she gets pregnant and they have a baby.

This year, she's no longer working, he brings in all the money and is looking for a job with better pay (solely because of this).

Dude's in his late 20's and basically a slave for life now.

Maybe they're happy together and want to live their lives this way, I bet you'd be upset if they were to judge you for wanting to stay alone
