Any noticed that the male fantasy in anime has shifted to one weak guy working the hardest and becoming the best and then saving everyone (and being loved by the women). The women fantasy in tv shows is one who can have all the sex she wants and not be judged for it and not be responsible for her actions in life.

I WONDER WHY *sarcasm* that male fantasy mentioned above is what sales, and that female fantasy listed above is what sells. might it have something to do with the nature of men and women?

EDIT: I also find that the anime where the male is a complete jerk (ans still saves everyone) are very popular.
