I spent my whole life wanting to be only 2 things in life... Superman and later when I realized that I had the wrong hair color An Art Teacher. At the age of 32 I decided to live that dream and took a job as a middle school Art Teacher... and it was the best 4.5 years of my life. Teaching is truly a glorious fulfilling job.
Around a year ago a student made allegations (seemingly out of the blue) against myself and another male teacher in the same building. She initially claimed a relationship of some sort with both teachers, before retracting the statements explaining she was just trying to get attention from a boy she liked. She later again altered the story to just one teacher, which I was the lucky winner of. She then retracted that statement and added to it insisting it was true several times. When all was said and done she and her family picked up and moved halfway across the country, refusing to cooperate with the police or district going forward. I had cooperated to the level my lawyer would allow and having my electronics "dumped and searched" and later returned.
I was forced to resign, even after the Police let the district know that the evidence did not support the statement (it took them 10 months to make that clear). The Super of my district informed me that he intended to take me before a public board to request my dismissal anyway, he also reminded me that all such hearings were a searchable public record. He was very clear my options were the public shame and an end to ANY chance of any future career or a resignation and the slimmest chance of any career future.
sorry if my grammar and spelling are shit.
What can I answer for you?
EDIT: I am going to get some things done tonight and will check in tomorrow and follow up as needed.
Edit 2: Thank you all for the kind words and questions. It was very therapeutic to do this, so thank you for real! I will answer any questions that trickle in going forward until they don't come anymore, but just so often. Much love to everyone.
Edit 3: Thank you to the kind gentleperson who sent me some bucks to buy some cider, I will do so and thank you again. I didn't want to put your name because you may not want to be called out but you know you are the hero you are.

Someday male teachers will have to realize that they have no choice but to ruin a young girl’s life and sue her family into permanent poverty. It’s the only way to save future men.

That guy is too nice for his own good. Fucking hell if it was me, I'd make sure that little prick suffers.
These kind of people will only learn when the people next to them suffer for their mistakes. It sure as hell worked in the army.

Could happen. I feel like the metoo people have badly overplayed their hand and woken a sleeping giant.

THESE kind will never learn.
The little bitch could pull out a knife and slit his throat... and he'd use his last breath to make up "imaginary" excuses for her.

I feel sorry for this guy. But it's getting harder to feel that way the more I look at his responses.
People keep saying that spanking your kids is bad, but this kind of shit warrants punishment.

Hate to say it... but the whole "concern for her welfare" (rather than ANGER over being falsely accused) -- and the reticence to even TRY to sue (for example to at LEAST recoup his legal expenses {and not claim his "severance" covered it, that's not what severance pay is for}) make me wonder if the reason he's NOT suing is that there is a least some truth to the allegation, and he doesn't want it to come out (as it might in a lawsuit).
Now, not saying he actually "sexually assaulted her" (as in rape or other overtly "sexual" acts) -- but he may perhaps have crossed a line or two in that direction (flirting, inappropriate remarks, perhaps a bit more...)
True. But alas by age 14, it's virtually too late to start -- the kind of discipline & instruction that would create a "conscience" that would prevent this kind of false accusation* -- well that needs to BEGIN being created a full decade before age 14.
* presuming of course that it IS entirely false, and that there ISN'T anything to it, not even the least "kernel" of truth.

Now that you mention it, it seems suspicious as hell to me as well. I can't imagine someone being so altruistic or thoughtful even when they are getting dry fucked by a cactus, lose their name and job etc.
We will see in time to come.

Exactly. And even if he felt there was no point in trying to sue the girl and/or her family (esp if they've left the state), I find it difficult to believe he isn't pissed as all HELL at the school & administrators.
As for the "thoughtful" part -- his statements of (paraphrasing here) "suspecting the girl WAS being 'abused' somehow by someone in the past" -- well he gave no basis for that speculation, and in fact cited something entirely different that she had given as an explanation.
But it does lead to the question: How or why (outside of the false allegations she "explained" away) would he be THAT aware of the girl and her mental/psychological state, such that he "suspected" she'd been "abused"?
Not saying there can't be "odd" behaviors that kids do that are potential indicators of abuse (albeit many of them somewhat "ambiguous" and subject to interpretation)... but:
A) if he saw that, felt that, to the point of (as he states) "suspecting" she was abused; then why hadn't he made note of it to anyone? (Granted it is "difficult territory" -- but in most states teachers are "mandatory reporters" and if they have any SERIOUS basis for suspecting one of their students is being abused, they are beholden to do/say something about it -- at a minimum discuss it with someone in administration/student guidance counseling, etc.)
B) alternately -- and again, I'm more than somewhat loathe to "go there" -- well there IS a type of adult person/teacher that LOOKS for kids that show signs of abuse, but don't do so with ANY intent to tell anyone or do anything positive with it... and that is an adult that is looking for vulnerable kids to "groom" and abuse themselves.
Otherwise it just DOESN'T add up.
He OUGHT to be a lot more "pissed" and "resentful" (and more than a bit "angry") about how HE was treated in the whole thing.
That he's NOT... is a bit more than just "puzzling."
I mean it's NOT enough to "hang a dog" with as the saying goes... but it doesn't "smell" right.
Maybe, maybe not. Time may very well "tell" -- but I'd say we (Reddit) are unlikely to be aware of it.

Absolutely true for all these beta white bluepilled mangina cucks.

The guy seemed reluctant to prosecute but he doesn't realize that his life is already in shambles anyway, might as well bring down everyone else involved.

To wit, the following bullshittery:
Note that there is ZERO basis for his "concern."
He himself noted (in his original post) that:
There is NO REASON to suspect "abuse" -- the little bitch is just an attention whore -- and she thinks here is ZERO negative consequence to her (in which so far she'd be correct).
Can you imagine this same (undoubtedly "liberal" minded)
guyCUCK saying the SAME thing if -- instead of a GIRL making false "sexual" accusation(s) against MEN -- it was a BOY ... firing a GUN?Which is NOT really any more dangerous.
Hell, the "gun" could even be a BB gun or "water squirt gun" and he'd probably INSIST that the boy should be "arrested/prosecuted" etc -- and he wouldn't be "imagining" that the boy MIGHT have been "abused" (even though it would be FAR more likely to be true).

I quit reading when he said he wouldn't sue
