A woman's SMV is tied strongly to her appearance, fertility, and willingness to have sex with her man. So yes, if she gains 40lbs... she will only gain more. Dump her.
A man should take care of his appearance, however his SMV is tied more to his confidence, success, and finances. We expect women to dump a man if his income drops... looks? Not as much. That would be like a man dumping a woman because she took a less paying job.
Men are the gatekeepers to commitment. If you want our commitment, you better earn it!
