Hey guys,

Do you consider yourselves minimalists? I think at the very least I would say I am not materialistic but I also don't hesitate to spend a bit on myself and my hobbies when I want to take the plunge on something. I've seen some discussions on how MGTOW must be minimalists or how they share so many tenants and principles. I think to an extent it's true because marriage and commitment are intertwined with consumer culture and consumerism, where as going your own way would be associated more with minimalism.

Even the dude who directed the Minimalism documentary from Netflix says his girlfriend isn't a minimalist, despite him being one, it seems pretty rare for a woman to genuinely not be about consumerism.

I made a video on this as well if anyone wants to check it out, or if you'd rather just discuss it on this thread I am all ears as well. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8AJCT0N7ucY

My summary is that I spend the money I feel comfortable spending on myself, but I still would not go into debt to do so, and I still factor price into what I am buying for stuff related to my hobbies as needed. Over to you guys.
