Everything here was supposed to disappear. Banned subreddits, deleted communities, cancelled blogs — much of what is archived here survives nowhere else.
It stays free — no paywall, no account — for the next man who comes looking, the way it was free for you.

This question keeps poping up. I can't even remember how many times I've answered it. Seriously, we need something on the sidebar for this. I am going to use my dark powers to summon the mods and see what they think: u/DaNiceguy ;u/aanarchist ;u/Mojo_666
This is what I wrote the last time I answered:
I could write something more sophisticated and detailed for the sidebar, if the mods want me to. We could always update it as we gain more knowledge on the topic of surrogacy. There doesn't seem to be many MGTOWs looking into it.

We don't really need to hand down some kind of dogma on this point. Everybody is going to have a different view on the matter. Surrogacy is certainly an option, but not an easy one. Most men would ultimately prefer to have kids with a stable mother and form a loving family, but as we know, that's become too risky.

I agree. But shouldn't we let newcomers know of the possibility? Learning that reproduction is not entirely beyond their reach could make going their own way a lot easier, and less frustrating, to those who still want children and are willing to do what it takes to get rid of the risks involved takes.
Yes, but it is far from being mission impossible. A lot of men are doing it, albeit for far less ideological reasons, and they are doing just fine. For example, we have this guy and this dude. I understand that most men here would rather not go through the trouble, but there are quite a few who would, too.
Yes, Ideally you want to raise a child with his mother. But as you said, that has become too risky. Leaving it at that is kinda depressing, especially for those who want kids. Letting them know that there are ways to eliminate the risks in question is a good thing. There is nothing we can do to change the laws regarding parenting, but we don't need to.

I'm sorry, I just can't rank it as sidebar-worthy. It's a way-off concern for most of our readers who have barely arrived in the anger phase.

I'd rather adopt since I don't care if my child is genetically related to me, but yeah, apparently men can't raise children on their own and women can... If you have sufficient yearly income, then you should e able to adopt regardless of gender, men can raise children just as well, if not better, than women. Unfortunately in my industry, editing and publishing, I'm never going to make way too much money, so it will probably never be a reality.
