There is nothing wrong with mobile home, they are less quality than a regular home but still do the job.

The problem is, you probably won't own the land your mobile home is on. Having to pay a rent to the landlord.

Be sure that if you get a mobile home, own the land is on or at least, have a guaranty with the landlord that you sign a contract to stay on his land for 30 years or more.

My old friend live in a mobile home, cost very cheap. But every 3 years he have to sign a new contract for the land, it mean that every 3 years the landlord can kick him out. Let say Walmart contact the landlord and offered him a fortune for his land he wouldn't give 2 fuck about the people living on his land and kick them out.

If it happen your fucked, you still have to pay the mortgage of your mobile home and find a new place to live and moving those home cost a fortune. Most of the time people have to leave their mobile home on the land to get bulldozed and STILL pay the mortgage.

You'll never make any money off one. By the time you rent the land it sits on and pay for the home you could have a decent size house that may make you money when you sell it. The pipes tend to freeze in cold weather unless you wrap them or insulate them in some way. They are very poorly insulated so your cost for heating and cooling is higher. All things considered, they are a money pit similar to a boat or a woman.
