Mods deleting stuff?

I delete some of my own comments, for what it's worth, shortly after I make them. Sometimes I ramble on too much or get too preachy.

I only ever see mods remove concerned trolling posts

Moderation and auto mod have a variety of settings.

A lot of thing can affect posts disappearing, and they disappear under a variety of conditions.

Some reasons are simple, too low of karma, recently created account, a variety of things. This means when you post it is, by default held in the moderation queue until a moderator explicitly approves or rejects it. Since a human is involved obviously this can take some time.

Alternately, your post may be put in queue because it violated a sub rule, which again, requires a mod to approve or reject it.

If your posts are disappearing immediately it’s probably that.

If it’s up for awhile and removed, it may have violated a subreddit rule or was reported, and a mod manually removed it.
