Some celebrities are legitimately talented, but it's hard to tell because they're pandering to the general public (i.e. lowest common denominator), whereas back in the baroque and classical eras they wrote for royalty and the Church, two customers who don't mess around when it comes to demanding the best.

I used to love learning Turkish March on the piano - you come to appreciate the real finesse in creating that kind of complex music. Far more skill involved than today's technologically driven music
