I want to rant about something I heard recently.

My Asian-American Studies professor split his class into groups to talk about the film Mississippi Masala. He eventually talked to my group about parents being protective of their children. Then, he outright said he only feels concern about who his daughter dates, not his son. Never mind that his son might be hit with a false rape accusation or end up with a violently insane or gold-digging girlfriend. Never mind that he might end up divorce-raped and working 1.5 jobs to afford alimony and child support. No, apparently, only the daughter is worth his concern. Absolutely disgusting! Looking back, I wish I had said something.

Rant over.

Edit 1: Asian-American Studies is not my fucking major! It's a general education class that I thought would be interesting. My major is Business Administration.
