SPOILERS FOR P5 AHEAD

SO i while hanging out with friends, and tlaking about video games, i talked with the guy who said that P5 is complete shit. While i'm all for his peronal opinion, i were interested why, besides usual arguments that SMT is bullshit and just RNG in gameplay(yeah color me surprised), he bring up the story. There is problems with the story like pacing and repetative nature of the writing, but he bring up the "problem power" problem. Like the game started with the guy abusing his power and allegedly raping young girl pushing her to suicide. Than he said that any chapters afterward doesn't deal with more serious problems than this. AS he made an example with next chapter dealing with Yusuke where his teacher just "steal" the work of aspiring artists. This point annoyed me. So Shiho after being raped(which is awfull crime don't get me wrong), and one asshole abusing bunch of teenagers get put on such of pedestal of great harm done. While if you talk with people on the streets with peoples whos life being ruined by the artist stealing their youth and their life time work is not that much of a deal, it was even specified that antagonist used his connections to make sure they have no future in art. It doesn't matter that in first case the wounds will heal over time, and in secound a lot of peoples life being ruined forever.

Don't get me wrong, i think P5 is not a moral compass, and should not be used as one. It is not the perfect writing. Have some wonky moments. But i noticed this trand a lot. Women being misstreated "awfull crime send the SAS, Specnaz, and Delta Force combined to save her", while mans being misstreated even more and they brush it off like "ahh they will be fine, just MAN UP". Equal rights i guess.
