Exceptions to the rule are exceptions ... to the norm .... they prove as much as a person jumping out of a 10 story window and surviving or shooting themselves in the face with a shotgun and surviving .

Does the 1 in 50,000 chance of living through that really make you feel the desire to jump or shoot yourself too ?

Japanese have, originally and generally, different definition on loyalty and honor from American, but it's not the point here. Please take a look at the time it happened. It's a long long time ago, a far generation when there were no social media, no Tinder, no Facebook, when Japan had just come out from the ruin of war and there was no richness abundant to spoil the women.

AWALT is a predisposition to certain drives and behaviors, but it’s not the be all and end all to figure out what a person is going to do

Men are AMALT when it comes to desiring variety in sexual partners, but it does not mean they can’t put those urges aside and rise above them

MGTOW monks are still “LIKE THAT” but they rise above that desire
