3) Nobody is capable of unconditional love - you aren't either. Except for from parent to child, there will always be a set of conditions that govern how we feel about another person. Bloody hell, most people aren't even capable of unconditionally loving themselves.

So there's a double-reason here why you should avoid legal and financial entanglement to women. One part has to do with her, but the other part has to do with yourself. If she gets fat and/or loses interest in sex/intimacy, or in any other way becomes a burden on your life, you're going to stop loving her too. And you don't want to be stuck when that happens, 'cause as a man you're screwed either way.

There are many differences between men and women that makes legal/financial entanglement a bad deal for a man. But the conditionality of love isn't it - we're pretty much the same in that department. Here are some differences to be aware of:

1) Women are to a greater degree than men governed by their moment-to-moment flimsy emotions, which makes them inherently untrustworthy creatures. Men tend to be both logical and emotional, while women tend to fix their logic around their emotions. This is why every story a woman will spin about an ex will be one of an 'emotionally abusive relationship'. Unlike men, women cannot take ownership of feelings of guilt, so they'll try to rationalise and assign external blame in stead. Be aware of this, because the narratives women will spin can quickly become your reputation - it can even put you in a lot of legal trouble.

2) As a species, we are gynocentric by nature. That means, unlike men, women will always have incentives to act on their emotions, because nobody will hold them accountable. Even the men they leave broken in their paths are likely not to hold them accountable, and in stead blame themselves. That means you're already in a losing proposition from the start. Whoever is to blame for things falling apart, whether that's you or her, you're the only one who's going to be held accountable. She will get the kids, the house, the car, the support etc. You will get the responsibility.

3) Men are easy to please, women are notoriously hard to please. There are evolutionary reasons for this, but suffice to say: It would be bad for human evolution if women had the same proficiency for 'contentment' as men do, since they are the gatekeepers of procreation. Women are geared towards maximisation of outcome, so they always want more. 'Contentment' isn't part of the female psychological make-up. In fact, women are at their most pleasant when they don't get what they want. So don't marry, don't cohabitate, don't put children in them - just enjoy them for as long as they're capable of being enjoyable. It's only your turn.

No one is capable of "unconditional love." Unconditional love is a contradiction in terms. It's like saying "I love everybody." That simply cannot happen. When we choose to love one person, we are necessarily excluding every other person on the planet. That's a condition - "must be this specific person." If the person you "love" revealed themselves as a serial killer, would you still "love" them? Of course not, if you're sane. That's another condition, etc.

Expecting "unconditional love" from anyone, including yourself, is nonsensical. If there truly are no conditions whatsoever, then they could just as easily love a human trafficker or a rapist or a disgusting fat slob who has no job and lays around the house all day doing nothing. Such a "love" would be meaningless. What would such a person be "loving" if none of your traits actually matter to them? If even one trait matters in any way, that's a condition, and that's a good thing.

My nephew lived with my parents for a while. He stole money from them, brought drugs into their house, got sent to jail (twice) - once for having sex with an underage girl, had police dropping by at all hours of the day and night to check up on him and many other terrible things I can't think of right now. I asked them why they took care of him, and they told me it's because they "love" him. I asked "what on Earth for?" and my mother told me "you don't have children, so you wouldn't understand. It's unconditional love."

I thought about this for a while and came to a conclusion: Their proclamation of "love" for a person who disrespects them and steals from them and invites trouble from government into their home cheapens what they claim about their "love" for me. If they truly feel the same about me as they do about this terrible piece of shit, then in their eyes, I am no better than he is. Their so-called " unconditional love" is worthless to me, because I don't have to be a good person or even do anything to deserve it.

Every time we decide that we love someone, if we introspect, we see that it is for a reason. Another name for that reason is a "condition." Love must be conditional, or it is valueless.
