"Negativity" and MGTOW

Yes. There's a lot of negativity in MGTOW.

And here's why: most people find MGTOW when something dramatic has happened or is happening in their life: their gf broke up with them, or their wive has asked for a divorce, or they have found out that their gf/wife is cheating on them. Those are not happy times; and those are often events that are the culmination of many unpleasant events. So they come into the manosphere where they find the one and only outlet where they can vent and complain. And since it's anonymous sure there's a lot of negativity.

It's the same as going to the Emergency Room in a hospital and judging the entire population: wow, there's a lot of shooting and incidents out there. There aren't. Don't just an entire population from a fraction that is specific to extreme events. As simple as that.

Men are not allowed to complain, hence 'man up!'

Shaming tactics. We always need to be positive, always think in solutions, etc. even if it means society is already burning.

It's just shaming tactics to get men back to the BluePill world.

But it's also a way of saying: "You might be right in what you're saying, but I'm not going to say that out loud to you. Instead, I'm going to shame you, because it makes you look more weak than I am. Also, I live in my own bubble, my own safespace, and I don't want someone to tell me that it might not be that safe after all, because I'm too weak to deal with reality."

Initially I was turned off to the idea of MGTOW because at a glance it can seem negative. When I first learned of the concept, I did what a lot of people do: I looked for YouTube videos on it. The first results were videos of what I can best describe as "angry men yelling at their computer". It was a big turn off. Eventually though, I ran into videos by Sandman who calmly, but directly explained things. Through him I became open to researching it further, and realized MGTOW is basically whatever you make of it, and... here I am.

There's going to be emotion in this kind of conversation. It's about personal relationships and things we've been taught by society all our lives. To learn that a lot of it was exaggerated if not an outright lie can be heartbreaking. I see now why some people in this realm are angry. I think there's better ways to process and move on with the information, but it makes sense at least.

Wait. So what you are saying is they are using their normal tactics and are judging MGTOW by their standards? And they are critical of MGTOW because we are not participating in their games according to their rules? Gosh. Maybe we should all get together for a group hug and discuss how that makes us feel. Then we can all talk about our feelings over a nice cup of tea. Then we can ask for their forgiveness and try to convince them to approve of our activities (which we will be willing to modify so they don't feel bad) and promise to act differently in the future so they won't have to shame us in the future.

MGTOW is dismissed on the surface because women think theyre gender/contribution is invaluable. The funny thing to me is if women were “strong” “independent” or “intelligent” they would pay this no mind. They need us a hell of a lot more than we need them but they have been getting away with the entitlement do long that they have swallowed their own pill. Now they don’t know what to do because looking pretty and working isn’t an option.

We should understand also, that it's hard for the average man to overcome his evolutionary instinct in the same way most MGTOW believe that most if not all women are basically the same when it came to things like hypergamy . However, when it came to laws and politics that are heavily biased against men, the govt biggest dream is more power and bigger control (and that something many great men in history knew the danger of, including the founding fathers) so they're pushing with the radical left in disregard of the casualties, specially if the primary casualty is the disposable one, just to gain more power .

Instead of looking at the facts and considering the underlying concept of men going their own way, feminists, media and sjw's only seem to gravitate to the message that we are misogynist, butt-hurt incels (despite the fact many of us actively avoid being with woman in hopes of living a happy, drama free life).

Our society has become so focused on womens " empowerment" , mentoring, and support any statements that apply to the masses of women that are not overwhelmingly positive is viewed as negative or hatefu l ... meanwhile I can open up instagram and show you a dozen posts about how "men are trash" , we should "throw the whole gender away ", countless inspirational posts listing out some poor damaged woman who deserves for men to become her safe place, protectors, and peace ... and bitches bragging about how stupid the men that are enamored with them are.

Am I right?

When they toss expletives at you or in this case question the negative attitude, do they highlight flaws in your logic or how mgtow has the wrong idea (for example about women initiationg 80% of divorces). No? Then this is all you need to know about the truth.

Plus, MGTOW never was nor will be a hive mind. You can convey positivity like some stickied photos of awesome places or success stories or memes that get posted here.

Yes, I'm negative, but that has absolutely fuck all to do with the validity of my stance. Women are a bad deal, and the numbers back me up. Whether or not I'm a ray of sunshine or a walking salt mine, I'm safe from any manner of fuckery.

Besides, where's the fun in being positive about shit? I was positive about shit for a large chunk of my life, and all it got me were footprints all over my clothes from people walking all over me. Now I liberally toss around the words "you fucking inbred cunt" and things go infinitely better for me.

Well a lot of people find this community after their life goes to shit, so theres bound to be negativity. But once you're at peace with life, it can be a big positive. I plan on "going my own way" by focusing my career, bodybuilding, friends/family, and travelling BUT that doesnt mean you have to hate women and be an incel. You can get laid but still go your own way, that is an extremely positive scenario. So I think at its core, mgtow is positive.

One of the biggest critisism of MGTOW is that we are butthurt

This is because they use criticism to see if MGTOW have a spine.

Many MGTOW are past the point where we know arguing with women about their behavior is fruitless, and I think once women figure this out they usually can't help but make an immediate attempt to see if either we have a spine, or if we can be convinced or shamed into thinking NAWALT. It is nothing more than a shit test and I'm not interested in failing it or passing it.

It isn't really "negativity" or apathy. It is being resigned to, or accepting the fact AWALT and it isn't going to change.

I'm to the point where I refuse to argue about my refusal to argue about women's bad behavior.
