If this is anything to go by, chances are any changes will be miniscule if existent at all.

As for the whole notion of "we couldn't do without"... It's an Obama policy so that thing ain't exactly old to begin with and if you look at the recent developments on the internet front, it's not ISPs that are the problem, it's the Googles, Facebooks, Twitters, Youtubes and Reddits that are.

The only part I think will see a big change to start off will be the ISP's who in large part provide cable TV will claw back some of their dwindling profits adding tiers to streaming sites. I don't stream so it wont affect me.

As for the censorship, I believe it already is taking place between the search engines, the social sites etc so not sure how net neutrality was stopping this.

Given the situation of how google, fakebook, reddit, and other notorious tech companies with bad reputations in censorship was for it, I am dead against it. How the "bill" FCC passed without a single solid sharing of what was in the bill, and how not even the FCC people was allowed to read the bill until it was passed should've been telling that this was "terrible." This bill wasn't about holding broadband providers to accountability over throttling speeds, it was nothing more than Obama/SJW/Leftists own version of the media fairness doctrine from decades ago but instead of TV/Terrestrial Radio, this time it was the internet.

It's not life or death. Computers are equipped with an "off" button, just like many appliances. I like that option.

I think net neutrality wasn't the right answer to solve the problem. If there was more competition then it wouldn't really matter if one company tried throttling or sensoring content because you could just switch to another network with a better business model. I think the real problem lies in local governments. Because infrastructure spending is expensive ISPS ask local governments to bar other ISPS from entering the market in a given area. And obviously a little bribery....I mean campaign contributions help. So to me that's really where the issue lies. How do you encourage more competition at the local level?
