I am in my early 20s, I have been in this mindset since a child, but only today discovered this subreddit through googling moving advice with inaccurate results, and that this is actually a movement.

Since a kid I wondered, why when I grow up can't I just work and have all the cool cars I want and a house without a wife or kids? Throughout the years, I have had the mindset of: I'll go through school/college doing my own thing, and if a cool woman happens to cross my path, see what happens.

I am about to enter the professional world, coming from a liberal university. For context: people were crying the day after the election. I do not believe that every single woman is evil and vindictive, however, their potential capacity for these things is what has made me skeptical from a very young age.

My main question is, what are some good resources within or outside of the sidebar links to keep this mindset moving forward into the job market and adult life, in a healthy and sustainable manner?

My last 4 years @ university has conditioned me with these ideas of feminism, political correctness, safe spaces, etc. However, I have chosen to opt out of these things as much as possible without ruffling too many feathers. I like to fly under the radar in general.

Also, how can I eventually explain to my parents that I am aiming to follow this path, the unconventional, seemingly selfish way forward, and that grandkids will likely not be a thing. That is, if I continue to follow this general mindset I have had since being a child.

Thanks for reading, and I would appreciate any insight. Looking forward to learning more.
