I just say "not my problem" but I dress it up with therapist speak in a way that they can't tell I don't give a shit, so they don't try and come after me or get me in trouble.

Like saying "That must have been very difficult for you." followed by "what do you think you should do?" Or "I understand what that's like" followed by "Only you can help yourself." Stuff like that. But I say these things nonchalantly and without any emotions.

If you do it right, it's like a Jedi mind trick. They won't keep bringing up their problems around you because they know you're not going to give them the emotional response they are looking for. They often just shut the hell up or go find another simp they can use for free therapy.

This is how I deal with women in the workplace and at school seeming like I care without actually caring.
