How can you not tell what this is? You've got some learning to do.

However,I can tell you exactly what this is.

This is a woman who destroyed a relationship with a decent or even good man because she wanted to hop onto the next best thing because it "felt" right, and made absolutely no consideration for his feelings or well-being (ie she wanted to have some fun). She more than likely cheated on the man and broke up with him once he found out and was crushed.

Well she had her fun and had a child with Chad and Chad left her to the wolves. Now she's accepting all resumes for the care-giver and provider because she does not have the capacity or wherewithal to raise her child on her own. And Chad wants no part of it as he has already moved on to fill another dumb whore with a bastard fetus.

What does she do? She moves back into the area where this man lives and nonchalantly brings up that shes happens to be back in town. She would love to see him, and introduce the poor simp (or so she thinks) to her fatherless child, to boot! Naturally, in her mind, since he was probably such a loving and caring and considerate man in their previous relationship, he would take pity on the child and "man up" and take this wonderful princess back and raise the little bastard as his own, devoting the rest of his life and resources to the care of her and her illegitimate spawn. All the while, of course, she would continue in her ways as an unscrupulous whore, fucking around to her heart's content (especially with her baby-daddy) as this is her God given right as a female.

Naturally she plays it off as a victim, that she's to be pitied, because she just wants his friendship. But what "wish we were friends" really means is "I wish we could go back to the old days where you did everything for me and pampered me; when you worshiped me and showed me your quality. I wish you would take me in and take care of this child that is not yours. I will even give you sex once in a while too, maybe."

How is it fair to assume that this man was a decent or even good man? Well, mothers are not COMPLETE retards. Naturally, if she's trying to manipulate this man into taking her and her child in after basically casting him away like garbage, he's got some quality in him that would be conducive to raising a child. Of course, she will continue down her constructed hierarchy of suitable care givers until she finds a male with low self-worth enough to fall for this, regardless of his actual quality.

A very good scheme. But I've seen it all too many times. Once you put your passion for her pussy aside you see right through her facade. She's soul-sucker through and through.

P.S. If this was you, OP, that she was contacting, great job on ghosting her. This is a lose-lose situation so the only way to win is to not play at all.

I was trying to figure out the exact context of what was going on. Just posting the portion of her trying to restore her emotional tampon only tells part of the story.
