Live on a sailboat. You can go anywhere, leave the country at will (yes, you still need a passport and shit), and become an island hopper if you want, you can live entirely on the bounty of the sea (yes there are people that do this).

You have to do 100% of everything though, but if you keep the complexity down, you can just do nothing but fish all day and pull into port on the rare occasions you need something.

It's an extremely boring life style, so there's that "issue", but you can certainly try it. It's the most offgrid you can be (not counting just squatting in the woods).

Absolutely... avoiding marriage is the LOWEST "bar" of MGTOW -- in fact one can avoid marriage and still NOT BE MGTOW -- cohabiting, being a baby-daddy, being in a long-term relationship (that will likely lead to cohabiting, kids, marriage {or the virtual equivalent}) are all basically NON-MGTOW behaviors.

I myself have basically "Gone Galt" -- not necessarily "off grid" in the sense that is usually meant (I'm still hooked up to the internet, my home is still connected to the electric power grid, etc; and while I do have some fruit trees & vines, plant a small garden in the summer, even hunt occasionally, I'm not some "survivalist" type... though I am setup to probably be capable of that if some TEOTWAWKI collapse happens) -- but nevertheless, I do try to actively minimize my interactions with most of "mainstream" society; am no longer really a "participant" in it, and do my best to not create resources for it to plunder.

100% off grid isn't likely attainable, but one can get fairly close.

My goal is to have a small property in nowheresville and an RV to travel around selling stuff at gun shows. Pay cash as much as possible.

Hopefully by the end of 2020, because when the Democrat scum win the White House again someday, and they will, I will at that point completely disappear.

I've lived off the grid for over 30 years.

And guess what caused it?

Yup! a divorce! Ended up over wintering in a Tipi and Yurt. (While working a job and paying child support.)

What I discovered was that not only was it possible, but it was rather pleasant not having to pay bills, and to be able to live in nature. There are many options for heat and light. You can have solar panels and batteries and run inverters. in fact, I'm writing on a phone charged with solar right now.

Basically for shelter all you need is to stay "warm, dry, clean, and fed."

ie have a place to sleep and cook and a bit of space for hobbies etc.

Yurts are very efficient. Its not much volume compared to a house or even an apartment. So easy to heat, you dont even bother to insulate.

For one person alone with very little stuff you could live in a 12 ft yurt. And if you like alot of open space, a 24 ft feels plenty big for even two people.

And you can make your own. Hardest part is the roof cover. but you can sew up Rayon canvas and paint with latex, or glue up rubberized truck tarp type stuff.

And it will all fit on a pickup. with room for everything else, from wood stove, to solar panels and folding furniture.

Beats paying rent... And is a pleasant way to live.

Dude....the United States was fully taken over in 1913 with the creation of the Federal Reserve System. Look at those who were behind it....Generational Banking Dynasties (Rothschild, Warburg, Rockefeller, Morgan, Schiff, Astor, etc.)These are the people that are truly running the show....not Donald Trump or whatever other puppet they put in power.

The US Government is not sovereign as it is enslaved to these Banking Families....and that is why they pulled off 9/11 to go secure those nations who were breaking away from the Petro-Dollar. That is why they killed Gaddaffi in Libya who was creating his own gold-backed currency. This is also why they target Iran, Venezuela, North Korea, Cuba, etc.

It is all about Central Banking, Oil, Gold, currencies, etc. The US is one of the most tyrannical governments to ever exist on the planet.

I don't buy Apple products because they're crap. Screen cracks easily, no headphone jack, proprietary software, no custom ROMs, Vendor lock in, horribly unbalanced terms of usage that nobody even reads, the list goes on.

Try to think of yourself as being self-reliant instead of self-sufficient. A man needs very little, but no man is an island. Off-grid low voltage photovoltaics and a battery bank is eminently do-able. If you stick with low-voltage, it is not that different from understanding the wiring in your car. Low voltage can be very efficient, and is legal for you to do yourself in most jurisdictions. Don't attempt to satisfy a woman in this scenario. (A compelling reason to go off-grid.) They have unlimited wants, and will leave you in a flash as soon as they work out they will have to live within limits. You don't need much money to get off-grid, and can build your system as resources allow. It can be very frugal. From there, you can experiment with gardening, harvesting firewood, brewing your own beverages, raising livestock etc. It is a lifestyle.
