The only bigger white knights than white knights are white liberal women for Islam.

I never understood why pro-islamic people don't convert. If its so great then fucking join up! If its not, and you think Islam is shit for any reason, sounds like the religion is BS and you should tell the zealots to GTFO

I never understood why people who have values so opposed to Islam don't leave. It boggles my mind. There's no reforming that religion. At least Jews and Christians can say that their books are only inspired by their gods. However flimsy you might hold that argument to be, but these guys have almost these insane, homicidal things that are the direct words of Allah, through a perfect human being...

That's what happens when the indoctrination starts from an early age. They were forced by their family to embrace the religion, thus it became part of their identity.

Christianity usually holds itself up to be a perfect religion with a flawless book. (American Protestants).
IMO there is a huge under current of Islamic atheism just below the surface. The countries are so oppressive and the religion so tied into culture and society that people can't leave or they will be killed or at the least socially ostracized. Mormon Utah keeps its religion bedside of social pressure and little to no threat of violence. Once the societies in the middle East become less religiously politically controller there will be massive conversation and apostasy

I don't think there would be badass conversation. The US government has already kicked out the leaders of these oppressive regimes. The two famous examples stand before us, Iraq and Libya. What happened? Have we heard about any mass conversions? Lol. Instead, they set up something shittier, more theocratic and oppressive than what they had before, or tribalism takes over and they start fighting each other.
This chick, Malala, though I've never heard her speak or do anything intellectually impressive and this isn't to say thati think she hasn't, I'm just saying I haven't seen because I haven't checked. Anyway, this chick, Malala, is supposed to be intelligent. You're telling me that she hasn't read the Quran and was okay with every word?

The Islamic world would behead Emma Watson just for portraying magic in a movie.

Emma Watson is the representation of the modern western woman, white, entitled, spoiled and privileged who still acts like she is a victim of this unfair world and the evil men.

Would anyone give a flying fuck about these two if they were simply men?
[–]-Fender-10 points11 points12 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
If Malala was a man and actually made efforts to remove sexism from legislations and society in general in the Middle East and was successful in his attempts, sure, I think we'd hear about it. It's more than likely that he wouldn't be perceived the same way throughout the rest of the world (female Malala is such a strong, independent woman and an example, while a male Malala would either be perceived as some white knight doing the bare minimum to combat the evil Patriarchy that he is directly responsible for bringing to the Middle East by being born a man, or perceived as an example of what men should be, while all the liberated women go around fucking anyone but him), but sure, we'd still care about him and his actions.
But no, no one would give a flying fuck about Watson. I already don't. The only people who still do are people who are feeling smug about the confirmation bias they get from her bullshit statements.

Indeed. More important than that, though, is how many young men have taken a bullet for a "worthy" cause and how much have they been celebrated?
