This applies to fictional females (especially in the more idealized, feel-good sources like comics, anime, etc., in something like 1984 they're more realistic) in general, with feminist Captain Marvel Brie Larson being the exception and not the rule. And it's not even that anime and cartoon chicks have hourglass figures and DD cups (though it does help), it's that a bunch of the worst aspects of female nature are written out (not a lot of women in cartoons are that hypergamous for example) and even have some high end male traits written in (like being honest, virtuous, and willing to self-sacrifice).

Really good example from Avengers endgame (going to spoiler it even though it came out over a month ago...)

When black widow and hawkeye were "battling" each other to sacrifice themselves for the other to obtain the soul stone, black widow didn't hesitate a single second to throw herself off and keep hawkeye alive, and she eventually "won". IF this were actually reality and you were Hawkeye and Black Widow was the average modern woman, she'd be thanking you in advance for sacrificing yourself and try to push you off. In this case since you're bigger and stronger you'll just throw her off first, but in reality there'd be the government with guns pointed at your head to force you to jump.

Either way, it's no surprise that sex dolls and waifus are gaining so much popularity, because with sex dolls you project all the positive ideas onto her, and with waifus many of them are written with the positive female traits in and negative female traits removed.
