TheRedArchive exists so that this writing cannot quietly disappear. Deleted accounts, banned subreddits, blogs long since offline — much of what is archived here survives nowhere else.
Preserving it is not free. The servers, the storage and the bandwidth come out of my own pocket, and the bill grows every month the archive does.
If you believe this record should still be here for whoever comes looking in twenty years, you can help keep it online.

She’s dismayed when she thinks she won’t get half of his, and shocked and appalled to think they will split hers. This makes me sad man.

She's dismayed at the possibility of ending up with none of his AND only half of hers.
This guy is an asshole and is breaking the law.

Why should she be entitled to any of his to begin with? Why can’t they just takes what’s their own and leave?

Even if they don't have children, getting married and moving in together can still involve one of them having to alter their career.

That's the choice she makes. Are you saying that the man should be penalized for the choice she makes. You are trying to confound by altering "her choice" to mean "her sacrifice". Noice!

That’s a pretty big “could have”. What if he was the one that had to alter his career and it just worked out in his favor? Would she still be entitled to have his work and effort?

Oh, ok sorry I thought you were going for something more profound. Now we are just back at the start however. Why can’t they both just take what assists are theirs and walk away? Why should either be entitled to the work and efforts of the other in this situation?

Life is full of possibilities that we might want to explore. You pick one at expense of another. That's how life is. If you've chosen to become an engineer, you have sacrificed the possibility of becoming a doctor.
Woman can choose to have children, her own children, not yours not mine at expense of her own career. It's her choice and she pays the price in full for making that choice. Only she pays for her choice, not you, not me, not her husband, not he employer and not society at large. No one will have to pay for a woman's choice of having her own babies.
Feminists have brainwashed people like you to see and seek victimhood in everything. They do it by rewording choice in victimised language like 'penalised for having children' while it's a fucking privilege to have children. That's what feminists wanted a choice. Now that they have it, they are crying foul for exercising the choice they actually wanted.
Are you thick in your head or what.
