I don't get it. If you don't like it, just tell him? The guy seems like a pushover who's doing everything to make her happy. So if she just told him that doing things by herself makes her happy, he'll let her.

Honestly, I think the problem here is she wants to spend less time with him. Him doing all these things for her make them spend more time together, and she's probably not attracted to him since he's "too nice". No one would really complain when someone else is doing shit for them, unless the person is doing a shitty job.
