My extended family visited today and I had a chance to talk to my uncle, a grizzled marine vet who’s been a machinist for the past 45 years. Of course, women came up. He’s been married for as long as he’s been a machinist. I had noticed his wife being a little disrespectful, simply putting her phone back in her purse when he called her multiple times. So I was curious what he had to say about his marriage. He immediately told me that you have to understand humility. Even when she’s dead ass wrong, you have to tell her she’s right. Because otherwise she will make your life a living hell. That’s what he said. And I went over all the common MGTOW tropes with him and he confirmed them all one after another. As our conversation was coming to a close, he seemed to resign into a kind of sad contemplation. He was a machinist who woke up at 2am to make the long commute and got back home just in time to get to bed. When he retired recently, it was the first time in decades that he had spent several consecutive days with his wife. Something tells me this poor guys retirement isn’t going to be very restful.

He told me that the other night he ordered two beers but his wife took the second beer away from him and got upset. Next morning he rolls out of bed and all she has to say to him is “fuck off.” I think it really hurt him.

Anyway, just another report from the field. Just presenting another piece of evidence that will help people make up their own minds about whether or not the MGTOW script has any substance. Sure seems like it to me.
