This observation occured to me today. I doubt it's original so if you know of any works that match what I'm saying Id be happy to hear. So every popular culture movement has followed the same cycle and it's kinda chicken and the egg type deal. The counter-culture breaks off and does there own thing allowing freedom and creativity. Eventually they reach a good idea that gains traction when the "elites of society" pick it up. The Elites get in on it for pragmatic reasons as it benefits them. They do there elitist snobby thing as it spreads amongst them ("Oh, you aren't X, how embarrassing HaHaHa" ). Here is the point where women will try to insert themselves into the movement and try to appear most attractive to those with the most resources. Now it is mainstream and the natural followers of society (betas) copy the elites in power, to try to get the crumbs of benefit the elites have seen. By now there's no barrier to entry or effort required to be a part of the movement and squares and betas beat the movement to death. The counter culture doesn't want to be associated with the movement anymore so they begin to break off and inspire freedom and creativity to get away from the squares.

The last movement was this SJW/ feminist movement that came about when Facebook/Twitter started getting big. There were some "woke" points being brought up about non-systematic issues women and minorities experienced. We gave them an inch and elitist Hollywood took a mile for power. So MGTOW is the counter-culture, and because we're right, and after enough failed marriages, like Bezos, rich men will avoid relationships to preserve their capital. Women will see the movement grow and try to attract the elite going their own way. They can try to shame men into being in relationships calling them "niceguys" or being the gatekeepers of social circles (want to have friends have to play by their rules). I'm not sure what they'll do but they'll want to attract successful MGTOWs. Now the beta whiteknights see elites benefiting from this movement and women presenting themselves to the most successful so they get in on it with no effort. Probably showing off walking a dog or a walking trail or something, basically look at me look at how much I don't care about women, while hoping to get a drop of coochie. MGTOW men will then open up to new ideas of how to get rewarded with more happiness and fulfillment through effort.
