I try to avoid weddings.

But if it’s a friend of mine who’s getting married I will support them in their decision.

They are big boys who can be responsible for themselves.

I went to my best friends wedding. But hell, free drinks and food, and I can bail whenever I want because #gmow so yeah I'll go.

You should go. I always attend if I'm invited. They are entitled to get married, just like I am entitled to NOT get married. Just because we have different beliefs, that doesn't mean I can't support them. I'm not Jewish, but I'd attend a friends barmitzvah if I was asked.

How can you expect people to respect/support your choice to GYOW, if you refuse to respect/support their choices.

I don't go unless there's an open bar. Reason 1: I can get drunk as fuck and not remember how much it hurt to see one of my homeboys lose his life. Reason 2: I can act like an ass and it's justified. Reason 3: I can promptly yell "You're a fucking moron and she's a whore" and everyone says "Typical of him, just jealous." Reason 4: I can relentlessly flirt just because I can. Reason 5: I can drive away in my sports car with utter confidence knowing he'll never get there. Reason 6: I can shamelessly pound back drinks and remind myself that the existential dread isn't that bad as my bank account is loaded and I have a trip planned after the stupid wedding. Reason 7: I see how ugly the bride is. Reason 8: I can relate to the other single MGTOW's and we can talk about our future plans. Reason 9: Who doesn't like free alcohol?

I’m never invited or my invitations are retracted. Initially I couldn’t understand why and took it personally but found out it’s because my buddie’s fiancé always saw me as a “bad influence” for being single and not revolving my entire life around a greedy slime hole.

Sometimes I go, sometimes I don't, depends on who is asking. When I do, I take advantage of the free food. I don't drink alcoholic beverages anymore so I stay away from that.

To me, most weddings are nothing but a show. I don't even dance, I just sit back and watch what is going on, or find someone to BS with.

The bouquet toss and ankle garter thing to me are just stupid. Some people wonder why I don't try to catch it. One time it landed on my head and I had to begrudgingly put it on some strange girl's leg.

I haven't been invited to one in a long time, hope it stays that way.

I enjoy the beer and food.

I shake my head and accept that another friend will probably get financially and emotionally fucked over in the next five years.

I don't give them any gifts. I add another lump of cash to the divorce party fund.
