Is it normal to lose sexual attraction to your spouse after a number of years?

My husband and I have been together for 7 years, we're both mid-30s. For a long time now I've felt like my level of attraction to him is waning. He's still my best friend, and I love hanging out with him or cuddling. I still have a sex drive. I don't mind having sex with him necessarily. But I don't get excited about it, definitely don't fantasize about him, it kind of feels like another chore, or just something I do because I know he likes it.

We've tried all the usual stuff, date nights, sexy outfits, new toys. Nothing seems to change the fundamental issue that I just don't feel that sexually excited by him anymore.

Is this a normal phase that long-term relationships go through, or is this a sign that something is very wrong?
