It takes a lot of effort and requires compatible personalities for a couple to always have something to talk about. That kind of couple looks depressing because you can tell they would be happier meeting new people rather than being stuck living through other people's Instagram pages while sitting with their supposed lover.

Unfortunately, monogamy is necessary for a stable family and therefore stable society. Those people just need to learn better communication skills and to learn to listen to each other gush about their respective passions. Some people also enjoy some silence and can feel content when their partner is the same way.

Hey, man. If it's a monk you wanna be, go for it! GYOW! The scene you are describing is pretty common in long term monogamous relations. It happens because as we get used to the chemicals in our brain, the stimulus to procreate caused by the sexual partner's presence gets damp. Since this "drug" can't be taken in higher doses, the honeymoon phase dies out.

The beginning is usually not like that. It's more like those stupid couple whom can't stop kissing and hugging everywhere, leaving people kinda of uncomfortable sometimes.

There is, of course, a certain balance. Depending your personality and your partner's, neither of this 2 extremes should happen in the beginning (but later, yeah it will get kinda boring).

Shit, I’ve seen young couples, probably 21,22 yr olds, ignore each other all dinner long to stare into their phones. This doesn’t just happen to worn and tired relationships.

I disagree. I've had relationships and none of them were boring. I've gotten sick of a girl, and gotten bored of fucking her, but that doesn't happen until 3-4 years down the line, and there's nothing u can do about it, because attraction begins to drop at this point and there's nothing u can do about it, it's just nature's way of getting us to move on to the next person so we continue procreating.

Your post sounds like someone who doesn't have relationship experience but just wants to trash relationships to convince himself that he isn't missing out on anything. Well, you are missing out on alot, that I can tell u.

Here is what 90% of a relationship is: u and a girl have sex together, eat together, and watch shows/movies together, and if you're cool ppl u drink and do drugs together. Occasionally you go on vacations, or to events, or to parties together. It's not boring, it's alot of fun. Having a girl with you enhances many activities in life times 10. If you live with her, it's going to suck though, never ever do that. The key is to only see her once a week. At MOST twice.

Here are the problems, which are easily avoidable once you have mgtow knowledge.

-When it ends (and it will end) you will be left with nothing to show for your efforts (except whatever gifts she gave u...and maybe some memories but those are mostly worthless). So the key is to invest zero emotions, and very little financially. Split everything 50/50, or if u can, have her pay for things. The investments of time and energy should also be low, low enough that the experiences of sex, fun, and partying with her vastly outweigh them in the cost benefit analysis.

-she will cheat/monkey branch if you overstay your welcome. There's two ways to avoid this, the first way is to just break up with her at the first sign of trouble , this would be when she starts shit testing u, being disrespectful to u, just being a cunty bratty bitch for no reason etc. Essentially you only date her for the honeymoon period, and then cut it off. The other way is to never promise exclusivity or expect exclusivity from her. You're just "dating", or fuck friends or whatever. Eventually she'll probably push for exclusivity, at which point you just break it off, or, you do the bf/gf thing with her and just end it at the first sign of problems (same as scenario 1 in the beginning of bullet point). Regardless, if you followed bullet point one and have invested zero emotionally, then cheating and monkey branching won't have any effect on u anyways.

-zero emotional investment is your secret weapon and superpower which pretty much solves all your problems and protects you.

-some people will disagree with me and go into hysterics about the false rape boogeyman, to them I say: YOU CAN BE FALSELY ACCUSED BY A WOMAN YOUVE NEVER MET. Not dating and not fucking women DOES NOT PROTECT YOU. Furthermore false rapes are very rare, and false rape convictions are even rarer. They happen, but it's unlikely, just try not to date any super crazies or major feminists and you're gona be fine.
