Was having a conversation with an older gentleman. Good guy. Dependable and easy to be around. He had been married before with children, then got divorced. Luckily his kids were old enough to decide who they'd prefer going with and they all overwhelmingly chose him. Like I said, dude's great. This conversation happened as we were discussing the relationship of personal accountability and the law and one of us mentioned a woman; not even sure who to be frank but I'd wager it was me.

As he told me, I just shook my head and said, "You got away clean." He himself agreed, sharing some stories on how he knew guys that have not recovered from this situation even in old age. I then confessed that I'm fully aware of the law, and it made no sense even from a "I want sex and children" perspective to get married, to which he agreed. Then he said... "But when you meet that special woman, you'll do what you have to do. You're too young to be thinking like this." I laughed heartily and ended the conversation naturally. It was enjoyable to be honest and I knew before this that he remarried but I mean...

Jesus Christ...
