The reason men are depressed is much more than sex, sex yeah but to a much lesser extent. Men are having more sex now than decades ago, and decades ago we didnt have porn as a supplement.

The reason we are depressed, is because basically we are being shamed and in everywhere in our culture men and regarded as inferior and discarded as disposable. Now if you look at history, you can see that it wasnt much different apart from the bullshit that feminist has been pushing on us the recent decades. BUT before...when men were forced to fight wars, they felt like they were fighting for something worthy their lives (their family and nation), nowadays they want us to "Man Up" and assume responsibilities, like working and destroying our health and holding the frame, without giving us any rewards in a Sexual Market where women are not worthy anything. Thats the reason why we are depressed, basically working and fighting is not worth the best payment we could get that is women, not money and other things.

Men might not be aware but subconsciously they feel this everyday. We feel a huge pressure to become famous football athletes like ronaldo, or to become successful or die trying, because we know we can only dictate our own rules if we achieve such power, and everything less than that will probably mean no descedants, or a wife that will cuck you.

Women are materialistic, men in their original nature are NOT. Men love living for a greater cause, dying for a greater cause. Men couldnt care less for clothes, money even cars if it was not because the bitches want that. This is why we are depressed not really because of lack of sex, but because of a world that is absurd. A man today is working a lifetime and in the end he is not having sons from a wife that he has control, many times the son is not his, many times the son is not educated by the father, but by the government, tv and society. Imagine you working a lifetime aiming at sustaining a wife that is your enemy, a son that is not yours, for a government that enslaves you and takes your money through taxes to give it to women.

So in a nutshell, men not having enough reward, or a reward at all for all the hardship they have to endure to live their life and complete their biological and psychological needs.

I believe urbanization and to lesser degree civilization caused such prevalence of depression, add to that abandonment they received when they were young (raised by single mothers, or a hardworking father that spends half his day or more at work and barely stayed to raise his son).

I read a research about the psychological of infants and how an infant, especially boys aged 18 months and above need the presence of their fathers to have this biological and psychological bond strengthens (in the form of testosterone flow and other chemicals in the body), to ensure the well-being of both of them, especially the boy.

No. In a nutshell man are being asked for the same responsibilities as before but without the same rewards. Mgtow takes the responsibility and the reward at the same time, and that makes men claim back their sovereignty. And from there they can decide where to focus their extra energy which normally leads to a more stable and happy lifestyle which in my case it made me get women again and almost fall for a relationship that i dodged well.

Mgtow is basically what religions tried to do before. By making men understand virtue in a dogmatic way. Christianity initially valued mostly celibacy, and did not criminalize suicide.

For islam, it tried to give back the power to the man, as christianity got corrupted, by giving the man the absolute control over his wives, and by removing the power that women have in the society by taking from them their best asset, through the imposition of moral codes of decency and covering the flesh.

Didn't take your idea. Just formed my own from being a Mgtow and being a huge Rick & Morty Fan. It's a common meme and marriage being equated to financial slavery is a common theme in MGTOW.
