I don't know about the other guys. I like to return the tools that I use to their proper place. So returning a cart is actually me behaving habitually.

This is why I always thought ALDI has the greatest cart system. You simply put in a quarter to release the cart and when you are done using it you plug it back in and get a quarter back. I have NEVER seen a cart in the parking lot at any aldi I have ever gone to. Something as small as a quarter is enough incentive to get the laziest of people to walk their carts all the way back up to the building, and if they are too lazy, someone else comes over and is like, “free quarter!” And walks the cart back. Compare that system to a place like Walmart where I have to dodge stray carts just to park my car.

Funny that a refund to shopping carts maximizes the return to almost 100%

But that concept is no know or used in many countries...

And yes if there was no refund system women would leave those carts on the spot...

Post wall laziness and small victories.

Me: Walking toward my car I see a vary post wall 60y+ loading it's car. It finishes before before I get to my car. It haphazardly leaves it's shopping cart in a parking spot between it's car and mine.

I'm pissed and start pulling my phone out in preparation of an impending door ding. Lucky not this time.

I get to my car and start to load up.

It: "What kind of car is that?"

Me: Short pause. "One that puts their cart away"

It: Starts complaining

Me: I close my door mid sentence and start my modified, loud & not 50 state legal smile machine.

For refinance I drive an uncommon low end sports car.

I'm not tooting my own horn here... but I used to have to round carts up in the Ace Hardware parking lot. It was a decent-sized store. Now I always take my cart back inside the store, not just to the cart return.

You forgot the ones that like to slam the carts back together. I started it as a kid and pushed the cart back to the corral as hard as I could to make the most noise as possible. so I guess I am civil.

Idk if you included the handicap carts which are predominately taken by fat lazy women while military veteran men are forced to walk. Because of said fat bimbos.

If there was any rule walmart actually held... it would to to insure handicap carts are vetted from fat asses who only break it down.

If you can measure civility by cart return rate (which I believe), and men are already more likely to return carts anyway, what this really means is that the better the area, the better behaved and civilized the women are. I don't know if it's because father's and husband's keep them in line, or that simply being a better person allows a woman to join a better area.

i tore my achilles tendon about 10 years ago and was walking around with a cane for a month. even then i returned my cart to the store.
