This happened today. I work in a normal office and have two colleagues in the same room currently. While he is 35, she is something in her early 30s. And you can really see that she is starting to approach the wall. The dude is a completely cool guy that can really hold an interesting conversation but the thing is, he is so beta, I sometimes literally cringe in the office. He tries really hard to hit on her, calls her his 'work wife' and is in general always trying to make everything right for her. And she really seems to be used to it and enjoy it. So I started working in this office about a month ago (been working for the company for about 2 years) and today they had a little picking about something where she turned to me asking who I would in general trust more, him or her. And my answer really quick was that I would trust him because I trust people with beards more in general (could obviously not say women but I think she got what I mean). And you could really hear it working in her brain as she realized that there are people that would not put her above him. While this alone would not be worth a reddit post, the thing that surprised me most was, that also the dude did not seem to have expected that. My guess is that he is so far down the rabbit hole that he would put her above himself on every occasion and not to even question this decision.
