There's a another possibility if you're a fan of conspiracies.

If you notice, the stock price peaked, then dropped a little bit ago. And then they get divorced while the price is still high.

If Bezos knows insider information about Amazon that's going to tank the stock, he can't do anything about it without it being insider trading on non-public information, but if he is divorcing, then he can have the court "force" him to sell the stock legally, which he can't do otherwise.

So it's a way to hide your insider trading, cook up a story of separating from the wife or have an affair, have the divorce initiated, then the court forces a "community property" stock manipulation before the stock tanks for any number of reasons.

If his wife was in on it, and I'm sure she was, then they both can make billions before the stock drops, and there's absolutely nothing illegal about it.

This is not the first time this has happened, heavily manipulated stocks are sold off under the auspices of a divorce property split "forcing the sale*. As a way to sell at peak and keep all the money before a huge drop. Then when the company is shown to be hot air, the top people got out first.

They could divorce, sell everything, then marry the next day and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that nor illegal.

But of course, the richest multi billionaire who runs a slave empire would never do something so dastardly, even though he looks like a weasel Lex Luthor.

That's just a conspiracy theory about how to properly do insider trading. You have the courts do it for you with the government making you do it. It's just about timing it at the peak.

Then you and your "ex-wife" walk away with $60 billion each Half of it untaxed under the new divorce laws that went into effect a week and a half ago.

Again, just conspiracy theory and in no way what's happening.

Yes. You're missing a better perspective on the situation.

Your whole premise assumes that Bezos has access to a time machine and could have made decisions in the 90's based on 2018 red pill thinking.

He married his wife in 1993. Amazon was founded in 1994. And it didn't start off from day 1 as a billion dollar company.

Why would a guy as smart as Bezos....risk half his net worth...(and a portion of his companys' market cap) for a piece of ass?

He has more than enough cash to bang any woman he wants in total security.

Not when he married his wife.. which is what we're talking about.

Also in the 90's the internet wasn't around for men to red pill each other. Marriage was more accepted back then.

Weren't they separated anyway? Trial separations are pretty much a precursor to divorce. I'm sure the writing was already on the wall and divorce was inevitable. Probably the only way the guy can get some excitement. Think about it, he can have anything in the world he wants at the snap of a finger. Seems like there wouldn't be much to look forward to or to get excited about.

There’s two ways of looking it.

He can have an affair, she can file for divorce and leave him with half.

He can get divorced first, she can take half and he can go off and bang other women.

Either way....for a marriage that long, she’s getting half or at least close to half no matter what.

He should have done the honorable thing. If you want to fuck around, get divorced in an orderly manner and go fuck around.

But honorable or dishonorable, he’s gonna pay half.
