Seriously though. Imagine two worlds:
A world in which men are given attention because of their moral worth.
A world (our world) in which men are given attention because of their moral obscenity.
I understand that this isn’t necessarily a generalizable principle, but it blows my fking mind that good men, even attractive and competent men, are denied the attention of women because they’re sub-six feet, meanwhile dudes like this are getting love letters.

If you look into early Christianity, it followed a similar line of thinking. To them Earth is a shithole, a mere testing ground to separate the losers from those who get to go to the next level. In the Bible the word "soujourners" is often used. Our stay here is only temporary, the time we have to complete the game is limited.
As Fr. Seraphim Rose Put it: "Being Christian has always been a fight against the spirit of the age"
Hell is for warriors.
Constant conflict, neverending war. That's life. Pleasure has to be temporary or everything would come to a halt. Personally, the older I get the more I enjoy failing through life, I have become desensitised, things that happen to me or other people, be they positive or negative, only serve as mild amusement now. "Think lowly of yourself and highly of the world" It's so easy, just sit back and enjoy the show.
Besides that, I enjoy going after my hobbies without stress or pressure, everything has the priority of brushing teeth. You just do it, you don't even think about it. Passion doesn't last, discipline doesn't last.... ....like brushing teeth, day in, day out. That's how you grind down the decades, by walking the lone wolfs trot, that eats the long miles like fire.

Don't thank me, thank yourself for being able to accept this information. I remember when I was in my teens I would often reject my father's advice even though I knew he was right. I had to do everything myself, if someone told me to do it I would loose interest.
If you want the source to the toothbrush analogy, I have it right here. I got it from a book called "effortless mastery" by Kenny Werners.
It's primarily a book about learning to play jazz but it contains wisdom far beyond that, things that you can apply everywhere. I never played jazz, hell I don't play any instruments at all and it still helped me. It's a book about getting down from your high horse. For example, another analogy he makes that stuck with me was this: "if I put a plastic bag over your head and tell you to count to 100, and every couple of seconds I ask you "what is the most important thing in your life" - how long will it be before you drop all that talk about becoming this or that/achieving that dream or this desire, how long before you just want to breathe? The most important thing is the next breath of air you take, nothing sweeter than that, nothing to be more grateful for than for that."

I would agree. As a being left to their own desires they do nothing righteous. Maybe 10%. But are those 10% done for righteous reasons? Up for grabs.
Mixed with others, they will 50/50 attempt to manipulated from the illusion of weakness, then at some point flip the table and attempt to seize overt control. Using the tools or words, emotions, manipulations, and victim hood.
