I'm a 21M from Asia, I met this Australian girl when she visited my country. I took her around and we exchanged contacts. we were long distance for the most part and I went to Australia to see her and we had a great time together. We went road tripping, I met her family and she was the first woman I kissed etc..all that cheesy fairytale shit. When I got back to my home country after seeing her that was when things started to change, her behaviour took a 180 turn. She started going cold and became increasingly rude towards me. Then it was her turn to visit me again, so she did fly over but her parents sponsored her tickets. I ended up paying for the hotel, meals and I even took her on a trip to Phuket Thailand, took her to Gordon Ramsays restaurants and spend a lot of money on other things. Thereafter she went back home after some time together and started to miss me again (bullshit). She gave me an ultimatum, either move to Australia or this relationship is over. So stupidly I MOVED to a foreign country alone and I had to find an apartment which was really difficult and I had to buy a car and look for a job which was difficult too but I finally got everything in order and guess what, one fine day she came to my apartment with some burger king in hand and watched a movie with me and then told me it was over. She wasn't feeling it anymore. She even had the nerve to tell me whilst I was crying my eyes out in front of her that she didn't ask me to move over to Australia for her. Now I'm a 21 year old guy, I started working when I was 16 as an intern in an accounting firm and over the years saved up a lot of money. In case people get the misconception that I'm from a rich family, I'm not. I spent over 10k on and for the relationship and ultimately it caused me a world of pain. Now the older guys are going to slag me off for this and I admit I was naive and stupid. I ignored all the signs but the point is and the reason for this post is to allow other guys to learn from this. You're meant to be building a legacy for yourself when you're younger (your 20's). Through this painful lesson, after going through depression I bounced back, I'm going to increase my self worth and build a legacy for myself. I'm still hurt from the experience as it was fairly recent but it's a lesson I have to accept. No woman is worth such pain and sacrifice. Don't make the same mistakes I did lads. Focus on yourself more than others and never devote yourself entirely on one person. Cheers, Zaid.
