Sure but the guy mentioned a 'priest', which means he's probably Catholic. Insofar as they're concerned civil separation of bed and board is permitted under certain conditions (adultery, apostasy, and heresy are the most referenced reasons) but that does not free a man to have other relationships, whether strictly sexual or civil remarriage. Of course, if you go by a strictly Protestant interpretation of Matthew, then it's permissible but, at least from a historiographic standpoint of theology and biblical exegesis, that's a relatively novel interpretation, really only gaining any sort of broad support as a result of Henry VIII's shenanigans.
