Notice how it always says "people" not "men" in these news pieces but never when women or children are involved. Male victims are statistics, female ones a tragedy.

The first story begs the question of whether the father of the dead children is going to be charged with negligence for their not wearing seatbelts which could have been a factor for survival depending on how destructive the car flip was. Also, intoxicated manslaughter is a felony anywhichway you look at it regardless of gender (I hope) and regardless of fame (sometimes).

The second pisses me off not only because this woman managed to MURDER (regardless of non-intent) 2 men, one of them being a sound man for ABC, and refuses to accept her full guilt of this plus the destruction of 2 (presumably) good mariages - I say "good" because at least these women want full retribution for the killing off of their bread-winners (honorable I suppose?) - but this bitch also wants to lie about not being fully distracted, which would then mean she clearly saw these 2 men on their bikes and still managed to hit both of them "accidentally".

It's too bad she wasn't also intoxicated 'cos even though driving-while-phone-ing is almost tantamount in its level of distraction and recklessness, it's still not drunk driving; but it definitely should be treated as such.

You'd think the courts would care more about men dying because they produce more work for the economy. The oppression and hatred of men I guess is greater than the desire for a strong economy, and society in general.
