Ahhh the gym, David Attenborough could make some interesting documentaries on animal behaviour in there.

I love the gym, I truly do. It's almost a religious experience for me. I turn up, put in my headphones, hit the benches, finish on the row machine and go home. I make an effort to not make eye contact with anyone, male or female, and if a female sits near me I get up and move so that i'm not distracted.

THIS^ is in my opinion one of the seldom spoken about* problems/consequences of women having invaded/eliminated all "male only" spaces:

That some female enters the space and invariably -- in one manner or another, whether the goal of the specific female "entering" or "passing through" is intentional/malicious or not -- distracts men and disrupts the ability for them to "bond" or cooperate.

On the LARGER scale, it is obvious that this IS one of the blatanty malicious intentions/goals of feminism -- the invasion of and "breaking up/preventing" of the formation or operation of any "old boys club" (aka any form of "The Patriarchy").

But it also has negative effects on the SMALLER, private & personal scale as well -- with essentially nowhere they can go that they WON'T be at least potentially interrupted, distracted, disrupted by a woman or multiple women -- it effectively prevents even any REAL or deep "friendships" from forming between men; and certainly (especially since the advent of "psychology" and the crafting of the "homosexual" identity, etc) it also dramatically limits the ability of men to engage in any "healthy" physical contact and/or emotional expressions of even platonic/brotherly "affection" that are part and parcel of any DEEP friendship.

Think about it: one of the aspects of the friendships you likely established in your childhood (or even teen years) that is significantly different than later "adult" origin friendships, is the sense that all of the later ones are rather distant even superficial, and lacking in the kind of depth/closeness and even the notion of expressing any affection or physical contact (at least beyond a handshake). Even the kind of brotherly "arms around each others shoulders" is essentially "taboo" in all but the rarest of occasions as an adult male.

An additional -- and likewise seldom discussed -- aspect of this, is that it doubtless CREATES more of the "male thirst"... since (at least for "hetero" men) the only viable source of physical affection then becomes WOMEN.

Thus the presence of women, their intrusion into male only spaces, truly does almost FORCE men into a "gynocentric" mentality; as well as capitalizes on it.

Makes me think once again that the ancients -- like the Greeks -- definitely DID know what they were doing when they designed their houses and established the Andron {Greek: ἀνδρών andrōn} room(s) as not just a MALE space, but one where women were specifically & categorically excluded from & generally forbidden to enter. (And of course women having their OWN segregated/separate "space" as well, known as the gynaeceum {Greek: γυναικεῖον gynaikeion}, from which men were generally excluded in turn.)

* In point of fact, about the only time I ever really have heard/read about how the female invasion of male only spaces created a wholly NEGATIVE "disruption" effects on males -- that is individual & pairs, small groups of males -- is the difference in behaviors (antagonistically competitive vs cooperatively competitive) of boys in schools; that is in boys-only schools, absent the distraction/disruption that the presence of one or more girls creates, the boys compete, but in a far LESS aggressively-antagonistic manner, and instead in a generally more positive-cooperative and mutually-beneficial manner. Insert girls, and the male camaraderie vanishes (especially for boys at post-puberty age ranges).
