Gen Z has grown up WITH the internet ANDA social media, ergo having zero reference whatsoever for a world without high-speed internet & Facebook/instagram. A generation full of kids with anxiety, unrealistic expectations and hubris derived from thinking they have all the answers because they know how to google things.
Providing idiots with a platform to voice their stupidity was a mistake. Social validation in the form of “likes” & “upvotes” for the most asinine of thought-processes was a mistake. Parents no longer beating their kids to teach them right from wrong was a mistake.
The internet has done irreversible damage to society, it hasn’t liberated anything or anyone.
