I use to work the normal 40 hours/week Mon.-Fri. job. My first job (that wasn't under the table) was working in a warehouse. I enjoyed that job 6am-2:30pm I was in and out before most of the crowd, the group of guys I was working with were cool dudes and the perfect crowd for a young man that grew up with out a dad. On top of all that I wasn't really bumping into too many people at work (I was mostly by myself) or outside of work so it wasn't too hard to put all my energy into lifting weights. I soon went into college and searched for a different job in order to accomidate for my class schedule. My next job I was working 3:30pm-12am Mon.-Fri. in another warehouse this was where things took a turn for the worst. At the time I had roommates and, my land lord at the time was more or less a dumb@$$. He was your average 35 yo with his 22 yo gf living with him. In addition to that my job was saturated with women, you're probably thinking "a warehouse with too many/ any women present is doomed depending on the function of that warehouse" You know what you're right to think that. So here I was juggling lifting weights, a job, and sharing a roof with a woman (in directly).
The gym environment has/is very saturated with women considering the fact due to current fashion trends what a woman offers is even more on display. My current job at the previously stated time was chock full of women and a poor division of labor where only men picked up the slack and, my previous residence was home to 22 yo girl that was only given everything she has in life just because she was a girl. In addition to that there was college, a lot of attractive girls.
Fast forward a few months later, a fairly handsome bank account, failing at online dating (sexual frustration), and realizing that the 22 yo girl had NO decency what so ever especially when in the act, my gains starting to diminish, and hating the hell out of my previous job. At about this time I began to stumble on some Paul Elam videos. At this time I was going through red pill rage. As much as I hate to admit it, I was in rage for maybe two years. I was irritated at constantly getting out any where from 1am-2:30am during the summer and not having any time to chill out, dealing with countless women(one of which was my boss) that were too incompetent at their job, a hoe at home, diminishing strength levels, and classes. Why didn't I get my own apartment and get a different job? I had this weird stubbornness instilled in me from my eight years of wrestling. Take a sh!tty situation and turn it around, man up, deal with the pain, don't be a quitter, no pain no gain etc. Anyone man on this forum can agree that this mentality is taught onto boys and young men but, there is a problem with this mentality. Some things are beyond your ability to alter or bear. You need to know your limits, strengths and, weaknesses.
I was ignoring my limits, strengths, and weaknesses. My strength was that I was excelling at obtaining financial security and developing a strong physique both through shear discipline. I was just dividing my energy evenly between my job and lifting. That was all I had to deal with until I moved out, got a different job, and started college classes.
My weakness is that I don't care for prolonged exposure to women. Being a single child raised by a single mom, I subconsciously realized that most (all?) women can't offer anything outside of their bodies. What women will try to write off of plausible reasons for a guy to get a gf can be acquired through camaraderie with a fellow man, a hooker/casual hook up, cleaning after yourself and learning how to cook. So I never bought into the method of dating strategy for men. So much work for so little reward and you're supposed to be happy with how little you get because that's what good men do. Due to that I was never really able to keep good composure when around women. A voice in the back of my head was always saying "Why so much for so little?" It always felt very wrong to ignore that voice.
My limit is that I don't enjoy the absence of solitude. What I love the most about living with my mom is that we work on different schedules. At the end of the day what I enjoy is no one existing, the beautiful sound of silence and no unneeded chaos/stress. With having roommates, it was never as if I was truly alone at the end of my day and there was never any silence at home. With a 22 yo girl in the house there was always unneeded chaos at home. Think about it how many woman have you met that enjoy silence AND solitude. Also how many woman have you meet that brought serenity into your life?
I was dealing with women in two environments( -2), my gains were diminishing (-1), I had no sense of peace at home (-1), and my job was a source of unneeded stress (-1) but, I had money (+1). A tally of -4, my life was sh!t. After finally making enough F.U. money, I said F.U. I got a different job, reconciled some things with my mom, and now I'm at a +4 and currently looking to increase that. I don't have to needlessly deal with any woman (+1), I'm still working towards financial security (+1), no unneeded chaos in my life (+1), and I'm capable of putting energy into lifting weights (+1).
NOW JUST WHAT THE F##K does this have to do with a three day weekend? Well, now I work Wed.-Sat. 40 hours in four days making as much on first shift than I did on my previous 3:30pm-12am Mon-Fri job. I'm happier. I'm happier after changing my environment. Last Sunday I was just enjoying some Fate/Stay Night while dozing off at 1pm, after snapping back to it just occurred to me. I don't have to deal with someone telling me that I don't spend enough time with them, constantly having to prove my worth to someone while off the clock or, hear someone calling me lazy for relaxing. I was perfectly content. No negatives, all positive and the drive to forever keep it that way.
P.S. At my current job there are some women in the warehouse with me but they're all on different departments and overtime is handed out per department. What's that mean? I don't have to pick up the slack that wouldn't exist if (girl name) actually did her job. Also, yes I do split the bills with my mom.
