I'm truly astonished how the internet continues to amaze me everyday. I have a good IT job but I want to continue to advance my knowledge and ensure that I always have a good understanding of the industry. Anyway, I like to go to conferences because they're a great place to see new things, network and have fun while learning. I was looking for an upcoming in cyber security and the one at the top was called Tiaracon. At first I just read over the name and start to read a description of the conference and that's when I saw the chaos. It was described as a free 2-day conference that's designed to advance careers of women in cyber security. The hosted panel was called "Women in Infosec: Our Time is Now." I'm not sure what blew my mind more, a bunch of grown women still trying to be princesses by naming their conference tiara or the fact that they were completely fine with a gender segregated conference.

P.S. Just waiting for the conference that supports women breaking in to the waste management sector.
