But truly meaning it is key. I’m old. I spent my early 40’s a bit desperate and though finally realised that I was the happiest and most productive I’d ever been. By the time I was 50 I could truly not give a shit. I definitely wasn’t dating anymore and I have “instant-kill” orders with 3 of my closest friends if I should ever become engaged again. If I got laid great but I don’t care. I’m not buying drinks for anyone and not asking anyone out out on dates. I’m done.
Apparently being “done” is a massively positive trigger for women of all ages. I’m engaged and busy in my life and give energy only to things I’m interested in. If there is a woman nearby, even half my age, she’s way into me. And make no mistake, without exception women are a LOT more giving in the first 10 days of knowing them

it's value, plain and simple. Women want attention, so demand for his 'performance' is high. He's aloof, so he won't be supplying much of that attention which makes it rare. If the demand exceeds supply, value is present.
There's more going on here as well; career focuses, physique, hobbies, vocabulary, intellect, ect. are all things 'in demand'. How you poise yourself and use these traits directly dictates your value as a person (to women, at least). That's why 'being an asshole' works. You're arbitrarily limiting your soul, it's a mean thing to do, but it fucking works.

Yes, it does. I was by no means a Chad, but used to treat women like shit in my twenties. One particular fuck-buddy would travel about 60 miles round trip just to fuck and I’d slam the door in her face as soon as the fucking was over. She’d constantly whine about how selfish I was, that I should meet her halfway and go to the house together or go out after the fucking to “do something together.” I wasn’t interested. Glad to hear from a middle aged MGTOW brother, I'm almost 40 myself. In our youth feminist culture I felt my relevance was about up in my mid 30s, conflating my own timeline with that of desperate women. But now I know that I'll never 'feel relevant' in today's culture, and that's fine, feelz come second and our culture is not prize in which feeling relevant would be a good thing. Now I only worry about providing for myself and my own quality of life, and instead of seeming like my life is over, it's really just beginning in terms of awareness and self respect. The next 20 years, barring any unforeseen disasters, should be the best of my life because they won't be wasted fighting an unwinnable fight.

Very sad story. Mine is similar, but I won’t bore you with the details. What helped me was to GMOW and stop feeling selfish about just working on myself. Redefining the point of my existence was the hardest thing to do. I now ask myself everyday: “What is my endgame?” (i.e., what do I want to accomplish before I die?) and “Am I the best version of what I can be?” (i.e., how can I improve myself only for myself?). Both of these I learned from here.
