Most people I know above the age of like 20 are going into it with the expectation the bill is split, outside of like birthdays or special occasions

most women will split the bill no problem. But the disgust will show on their faces, and they will think you are cheap. (my experience only)

Idk I have a whole range of experience. From girls visibly expecting me to pay, not even bringing their wallets, to girls insisting on splitting the bill so they don't feel like they owe me anything, to girls insisting they pay the whole bill. It's certainly a good indicator of personality.

I’m 21 and that doesn’t usually start to happen from my experience until the relationship gets more serious, and both parties are actively inviting the others out and are willing to pay, so it doesn’t become one sided
