And a simp... and a cuck... and a mangina... and a white knight...
.
"Life's a box of chocolates, you never know what you're gonna get."
me; "Yeah Forrest, now that everyone else took a piece, you're left with the used up wrappers, empty box, and all the garbage that comes with it."

You're left with the shitty caramel filled piece.

Jenny in this film was absolute cancer.

Yet for some reason, at least back when it came out, she was a beloved character. Probably the whole "redemption" and "love was right there all along" shticks. Forrest becoming rich, respected, and self sufficient had absolutely nothing to do with it.

It had everything to do with perception. If you were young when you saw it, you didn't see Jenny for what she was: not the broken/junkie aspect, but the hypergamous aspect that was always the subtext. I think Jenny went under the radar because her OBVIOUS flaws hid or obscurred the more subtle flaws.
In fact, it's hidden to such a degree that we just ACCEPT that the boy at the end is Forrest's kid. I mean, think about it: what proof does Forrest have that this boy is his son? I mean, sure, you can say that whatever made Forrest slow wasn't passed on, but this is before DNA testing was even possible.
If you're a dying woman with a junkie mentality (though at the end she seems clean) and a son who'll be orphaned in a matter of months-couple years, you do what you always do: try and find a sap that you can latch onto. Forrest was a winning lottery ticket that all she had to do was cash in: he'd been a sucker for her since they were in grade school, he's independently wealthy so the kid will want for nothing and her last moments can be comfortable, and because she'd tossed him some pity sex (possibly even pre-meditated to engineer this moment), her having his son would be plausible in his mind. Forrest bought it so completely and instantly that he never even thought to chide her for denying him knowledge of his son for years, so why wouldn't he keep going on thinking it was his. By marrying her on top of it, that further solidifies the kid as now being a part of his estate.
A lifetime of accomplishment and beating the odds completely hoodwinked by some junkie who probably spread her legs for a passing trucker to score some dope money.

I can hardly stand that movie anymore because of her. She's legitimately despicable.

but then again, this proves she does know love
love of money that is

Typical free loving THOT.

Men don’t know love. Love is irrational and illogical, fleeting as a burp in the wind. Men only know loyalty that they expect never changes, never stops, and never ends.
